With 71 species of fish, including the prehistoric looking paddlefish, Caddo lake brings fishermen from all over the country to experience the diverse fishery that Caddo lake supports.


         

 

 The fish that Caddo Lake supports range in size from the little minnows, shiners and chubs all the way up to the largest like the blue catfish, flathead catfish and the largest, the alligator gar.

This Alligator Gar was caught by the Albright family in 1957 on Big Cypress Bayou above Caddo Lake and was well over 300lbs.

Here on Caddo the most sought after fish by the anglers are the Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Bream and Chain Pickerel. Whether you go it on your own, or you hire a guide, Caddo is sure to give you a fishing experience you won't soon forget.
